Tania Parrish

Nova Scotia native, Tania Parrish, will be performing in The Secret Garden this summer at Huron Country Playhouse. She performed the role of Sister Berthe in The Sound of Music with Stage West. Other musical theatre roles include "Doris" in Damn Yankees,Stage West, Calgary; "Mrs. Pye" Charlottetown's Festival's Anne of Green Gables . "Lady Catherine" and rescue soloist in a western tour (Manitoba Theatre Centre, Theatre Calgary and Citadel Theatre Edmonton) of Camelot and the Prince in Lesley Arden's The Happy Prince with "Hermione Presents". Tania has performed in the national touring company and Toronto production of The Phantom of the Opera; been a guest soloist with The Canadian Opera Company and trained with their Ensemble. Some of her roles include "Rosina", The Barber of Seville, (Opera East); "Berta", Il Barbiere Di Siviglia, (National Arts Centre); Third Lady, The Magic Flute; Der Vertraute, Elektra; Olga, The Merry Widow; Kate Pinkerton, Madama Butterfly ( The Canadian Opera Company). Musetta, La Boheme; Nicklausse, The Tales of Hoffman; Suky Tawdry, The Beggars Opera; Canadian premieres of Dream Play, the role of She ; Lily in The Unbelievable Glory of Mr. Sharp (The Canadian Opera Company Ensemble). Tania has appeared as a soloist with Fashion Cares and City T.V's Much Music Video Awards. Tania performs national Anthems for Speakers Forum. Her favorite role has been Carmen in Pacific Opera's production of Carmen.
